Close Laptop Lid and continue Program Running

My Acer Aspire  4730z  laptop was previously running in Windows Vista but i've changed the Operating System to Windows XP (click here to Change Windows Vista to XP)

When i close my laptop's lid or cover, the Media Player stops playing.

This guide is for laptops running in Windows XP.

You can have your program continue running after closing the laptop lid by following the procedure below:

1. Click START, choose CONTROL PANEL.
2. Click PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE.
3. Choose POWER OPTIONS.
4. In the ADVANCED tab, answer - DO NOTHING, When I Close the lid of my portable computer.
5. Click APPLY, then OK.
You can now listen to music playing through your Windows Media Player while your laptop's lid is closed.
